Ithaca, NY - The UAlbany Rugby Team [3-1] played their first road game of the year against the Big Red of Cornell in a New York State Rugby Conference D1 match up Saturday. The Danes got off the bus focused and determined to rebound from last weekends loss to SU.

Chestnut Hill, MA - After a two-month international search, Boston College Rugby Football Club (BCRFC) has named Eugene W. Mountjoy as their new Head Coach. Mountjoy will move to Boston and will continue as the Director of Rugby and Head Coach of Boston Rugby Football Club (BRFC), where he led the regular season undefeated Super League Team to the 2008 playoffs.

After being hampered weather cancellations, UVA's season finally has begun. Kicking off the competition against Charlottesville Mens Team in a Thursday night scrimmage, the team was happy to brush off the cobwebs and get into real games. Despite poor lighting and slick conditions, Virginia showed that the work in practice was paying off.

Continuing to tune up for regular season play, the "U" played their second exhibition match of the season this past weekend in Columbia Heights. Unfortunately, the weather and scheduling conflicts made things more difficult than usual. The "U" was supposed to take on the B-Side of Wisconsin RFC, newly promoted to Men's D1, following their A-Side match vs. Metropolis.
